Environmental Impact
The new Environmental Impact equation, as presented on TED.COM
Paul & Anne Erhlich’s original Environmental Impact equations was:
I = P * A * T
But it was modified by using technology as the dominator.. With the proper use of technology, one can actually lower the impact. An example is using technology to improve recycling, thus reducing the amount of consumed natural resources.
There are many examples.. For one, instead of subscribing to paper publications, I’ve converted all my subscriptions to electronic. I pay less and I reduce the use of paper, ink, manufacturing, and distribution waste..
